II JORNADA MOOC A LA URV (activitat prèvia al CIDUI)

activitatpreviaEls MOOCs han irromput en l'educació universitària impactant tant sobre el model pedagògic com sobre l'oferta formativa a la vegada que posa en qüestió el rol que s‘espera de la universitat. És en aquest sentit que cal recollir evidències que permetin avaluar l’impacte d’aquests cursos sobre la formació universitària, en general, i sobre el disseny dels escenaris per a l’aprenentatge i el desenvolupament de l’acció formativa en particular.

 Davant d’una societat amb unes necessitats formatives cada vegada més diverses i canviants, les institucions d’educació, a través d’instruments com els MOOCs, hi han tenir un paper central. Un món en constant evolució demanda recursos de formació permanent al llarg de la vida, sotmesos a les exigències d’un mercat de treball que reclama, per un costat, polivalència i adaptació i, per altra, especialització i rigor.

 Així, el veritable repte de l’educació superior esdevé trobar models de formació més flexibles, adaptables permanentment als canvis i que generin processos d’aprenentatge disruptius, en un context formatiu més enllà de les aules universitàries. Aquests són els aspectes que s’abordaran en aquesta II Jornada MOOC del projectes 14MOOC14.

The Scientific Committee will select a few papers among the ones presented during CIDUI 2014, to propose their appearance in article format in the following publications: Journal of Technology and Science Education (JOTSE), a total of 10 papers; and Procedia a total of 50 papers.

This selection will be made according to the assessment received during the review process, and according to the CIDUI main topics as well as fields of knowledge. 

We will contact the authors of the selected papers after the celebration of CIDUI 2014, along with the publication guidelines of each journal.

TEACHING AND LEARNING CENTERS: CHALLENGES AND STRATEGIES.

CIDUI 2014 offers a full-day workshop centred on the analysis of the main challenges for the teaching and learning centres to support flexible models in the University.  

The workshop aims to provide in-depth insights into the main challenges and strategies adopted by the academic units that provide support services for faculty in order to improve their teaching and professional development.

FLEXIBLE TRAINING MODELS: A RESPONSE TO THE CURRENT NEEDS

This general theme will be addressed in the VIII International Conference on University Teaching and Innovation (CIDUI) that will be held on 2 – 4 July 2014, in Tarragona, at  Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV).

Since the year 2000, a new CIDUI conference has been held every two years. Today, it is a well established event that brings together a large number of lecturers and other professionals in the field of education, driven by the good will of turning the university into an institution that responds to the challenges of our society.

On account of the current educational, social and economic context, the upcoming CIDUI conference is conceived as an occasion for reflecting on and sharing ideas and experiences with regard to the educational outputs that the university can offer in order to help the students satisfy their needs and have access to occupation. Another important question is how this can contribute to the competitiveness of qualified workforce. In the field of higher education in Spain, flexible models aiming to reach a balance between basic education, professional competences and orientation in the labour market have arisen in recent years. These models give an increasingly active part to the student, not only in their education, but also in the institutional context, in which they are encouraged to engage.
