1. Call for applications

The organizers of the International Congress on University Teaching and Innovation (CIDUI) will award 27 grants for participation in the seventh edition of the Congress in 2012. These grants are for postgraduate students involved in lecturing and research in Spain, Europe and the rest of the world. The grants aim to promote the sharing of experiences about university teaching and innovation.

Applications can be made from 11th January until 1st of March 2012.
All those awarded with a grant will be contacted from the 26th March

2. Access, Admission, and Selection process

Access
To any Postgraduate student involved in university lecturing and research.
Be willing to collaborate with the organization staff during the congress.

Admission

  1. Should be the author or co-author of a paper accepted by the Scientific Committee of the 7th CIDUI
  2. Must have NOT been awarded a grant in the previous edition of the Congress.
  3. Must Register before 1st of March 2012
Selection Process
  1. CV
  2. Accreditation of being involved in a project, working group or institution related to education, innovation and reflection on the integration of universities into the EHEA
Contribution to the CIDUI
All People who have been awarded a grant are supposed to help CIDUI staff in organization and logistic tasks during the congress, with the equivalent of the 30% of the duration of the congress (taking the congress lasts up to 30 hours approximately, you are supposed to help a maximum of 9 hours).

Examples of tasks: help conference attendees; count the number of participants per session, etc.

3. Application and documents

Those interested in applying for a grant must send the following documents by 1st of March 2012 to the CIDUI Administration Office at the e-mail address:  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • Application Form (WORD)
  • Copy of the applicant's national ID card, passport or similar ID
  • Copy of a document issued by an academic body of the applicant's university (dean, head of department, academic administration office, etc) certifying that he or she is a postgraduate student involved in teaching and research.
  • Brief CV explaining the applicant's main teaching activity, publications completed and projects in which he or she has participated.

4. Expenses covered

The grant covers:
  • free registration for the Congress, including:
    • CIDUI documents
    • Entrance to all lectures, seminars, presentations, etc.
    • Lunch on 4 and 5 of July
  • Accommodation: a maximum of two nights
  • Certificate of attendance, author or co-author and assistant of the congress organisation

5. Grant declination

If you plan to refuse the grant you need to tell the CIDUI organization 3 weeks before the starting of the congress.

6. Confidentiality and data protection

The organizers of the 7th CIDUI fully comply with current legislation on the protection of personal data. They are committed to keeping all information supplied confidential.

The personal details of grant applicants included in the documents referred to in this text will be incorporated into the files of the CIDUI organizers. These details will be used to provide applicants with the services provided by the organizers for the call, awarding and an administration of their grants.
