Thematics and main subject areas
This general theme will be addressed in the 9th International Conference on University Teaching and Innovation (CIDUI) that will be held on 5 – 7 July 2016, in Bellaterra (Barcelona), at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
Since the year 2000, a new CIDUI conference has been held every two years. Today, it is a well-established event that brings together a large number of lecturers and other professionals in the field of education, driven by the good will of turning the university into an institution that responds to the challenges of our society.
This new edition proposes to create a space for exchange and analysis the impacts of the different experiences of teaching and learning innovation in higher education in recent years. The current educational, social and economic context leads us to reflect on the different actions and investigations that have been developed over the trajectory of the congress and know the impact within the higher education system. Since this analysis, we should reflect on what future lines will define our methodologies, researches, contents, etc.
Main subject areas of interest
In the process of selecting the papers and determining the activities for the 9th CIDUI conference, priority will be given to the proposals related to the topics of interest listed below. Within the scope of each topic, the proposals that deal with experiences set in the framework of centres and degrees that boast institutional commitments or support and that have been shown to involve improvement and innovation in teaching will be treated as a priority. Research or studies related to the general theme and that are particularly relevant according to the criteria established by the Scientific Committee may also be accepted as proposals.
