S’ajusten les competències proposades als Graus d’Educació Infantil i Primària al perfil professional del Mestre?

The fact that competencies of the new university degrees may be expressed ambiguously and have little in common with the students’ future professional needs will affect the quality of teaching and, by extension, the institutional quality of universities. For this reason, the present study focuses on reviewing the competencies proposed for the degrees in Infant and Primary Education, taking as a starting point the interviews performed to teachers. The results show that, in general, the competencies envisaged for these degrees match the needs expressed by the professionals, although the practicing teachers also believe that some aspects that are not envisaged are also important.
